Key Considerations We Planned For

Preserving the existing flooring
Our clients wanted to keep their existing flooring, and that decision often comes with an important reality: in many homes, there is no flooring installed beneath old cabinetry. Once we began demolition and changed the kitchen footprint, we needed to coordinate flooring repairs to ensure no exposed gaps or unfinished sections remained visible.
We worked with our clients to ensure the repaired areas blended into the new layout, resulting in a cohesive, intentional final result.
Getting the quartz veining just right
Our clients were particular about the veining pattern in their quartz, and we love that, because those details matter. Before anything was cut, we worked with our fabricator to refine the slab layout so the veining direction and placement looked balanced and intentional throughout the space.

Instead of tile, our clients chose a full-height backsplash made from the same quartz as the countertops. This creates a clean, seamless, elevated look, but it also adds an extra step to the timeline.
